Overview

As Clinical Lead, you will guide the wheelchair service's clinical team across multiple sites, ensuring high standards of care and governance. You will balance clinical leadership with a small, complex caseload, working alongside MDT colleagues and senior management. Your role includes staff development, service improvement, and building links with other Ross Care services. This is a values-driven opportunity to shape clinical practice and patient outcomes at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership to the wheelchair service team and other MDT members
  • Develop and mentor new staff and the service, fostering growth
  • Build contact with other services and engage with Ross Care managers across clinical and operational areas
  • Attend regular Clinical Director meetings and participate in clinical supervision
  • Manage a small complex caseload while overseeing local team performance
  • Lead clinics at multiple sites and ensure high standards of clinical practice and safety

Key requirements

  • Minimum 5 years post-registration experience
  • Previous wheelchair provision experience
  • Experience in team leadership, management, and supervising junior staff
  • Budget management experience
  • HCPC registration
  • DBS clearance
  • Full driving licence and willingness to drive Ross Care/own vehicles
  • Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office) and good communication skills
  • Knowledge of relevant medical conditions and clinical governance
  • Understanding of safeguarding, data protection, health and safety
  • Ability to manage waiting lists and work under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
