b Overview /b p In this role you will work as an independent, JAG-accredited endoscopist within a multidisciplinary team at BCUHB North Wales. You will perform diagnostic upper GI and colorectal procedures and manage a nurse-led patient pathway, while upholding high standards of care and contributing to staff development. You’ll benefit from strong mentorship, a supportive environment, and ongoing professional education as the service expands. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li Band 8a salary (£58,379–£65,723) /li li Permanent full-time post /li li Opportunities for personal and professional development /li li Strong Consultant mentoring /li li Supportive working environment /li li Commitment to equality and diversity /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Perform diagnostic OGD, colonoscopy and flexible sigmoidoscopy (with or without sedation) /li li Manage own caseload including nurse-led clinics for GI symptoms /li li Provide advanced clinical judgement and decision making /li li Explain findings to patients and plan appropriate management /li li Deliver care aligned with BS G, JAG and GRS standards /li li Work within a large multidisciplinary team and adapt to changing needs /li li Potentially supervise or mentor as part of endoscopy service development /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li NMC or HCPC registration (or other relevant registration) /li li Master level education in advanced practice and/or endoscopy /li li JAG-accredited endoscopist /li li Independent prescriber (to be achieved within 18 months) /li /ul ul li Ability to cope with patients under extreme stress /li li Excellent communication and patient discussion of findings /li li Team collaboration in a multidisciplinary setting /li li Endoscopy procedures: OGD, Colonoscopy, Flexible Sigmoidoscopy /li li Holistic assessment and care planning /li li Clinical governance aligning with BSG, JAG, and GRS standards /li /ul
