Overview
In this Band 8a Clinical Psychologist role, you will provide highly specialist psychological assessments, formulation and care planning within a community mental health framework. You will work within a psychology team to guide clinical pathways across PCMHN and CMHTs, contributing to service development and staff psychological safety. The role offers broad clinical input, leadership, and opportunities to shape neighbourhood-based psychological care. You will engage in research, audits and service improvements, with a focus on patient recovery and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities
- Deliver highly specialist psychological assessments, formulations, care plans and interventions with professional direction
- Provide clinical leadership and consultation with evidence-based and bespoke psychological care
- Assist in planning and organising community psychological services
- Offer clinical supervision and risk management guidance to MDT colleagues
- Provide supervision to trainees, assistants, CAPs, MHWPs and supervise qualified psychologists
- Engage in research, audits, and quality improvement initiatives
- Contribute to service development and cross-team collaboration during Neighbourhood Teams implementation
Key requirements
- Doctoral-level training in psychology (clinical/forensic/counselling)
- Current HCPC registration
- Experience as a psychologist at a senior level in the field
- CPD relevant to clinical area
- Experience with diverse client groups and multidisciplinary teams
- Experience teaching, training or supervision
- Ability to work across team and multi-agency partnerships
