Overview
In this role you lead a care team to deliver high-quality, person-centred support for residents. You coordinate shifts, train staff, and oversee medication administration, care plans, and risk assessments. You liaise with GPs, district nurses, and families to support residents’ wellbeing, while upholding dignity and a warm, welcoming environment. Responsibilities
- Lead a team of care staff including training, supervision and delegating duties on shift
- Administer and order medications
- Review and update resident care plans and risk assessments
- Liaise with GPs, district nursing teams and resident families
- Uphold dignity and preferences of residents and foster a warm, vibrant environment
Key requirements
- NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care
- Previous experience in a residential care setting
- Proven team leadership skills
- Ability to make appropriate decisions to support residents' needs and wellbeing
