Overview
In this role you will lead the strategy and delivery of workforce wellbeing and sustainable attendance across the Trust. You will partner with HR, Occupational Health and managers to shape an inclusive, evidence-based wellbeing offer and reduce sickness absence. You will translate workforce data into practical interventions and coordinate services across the Health and Wellbeing Hub. This is a pivotal role for improving staff wellbeing and patient care through prevention, early intervention and strong collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Lead development and delivery of the Trust's approach to workforce wellbeing and attendance improvement.
- Use sickness absence, workforce and wellbeing data to identify trends and priorities; inform action.
- Develop practical, targeted responses with managers, HR, Occupational Health and other services; provide guidance, resources, workshops and coaching.
- Provide leadership for wellbeing services including the Health and Wellbeing Hub and Health Improvement Team.
- Ensure services are inclusive, accessible and responsive; evaluate reach, effectiveness and impact.
- Manage resources, contracts and funding; build relationships across the Trust, Joined Up Care Derbyshire and external partners to improve wellbeing and attendance.
Key requirements
- Master's degree (or equivalent) in workforce health and wellbeing or related field.
- Experience implementing wellbeing initiatives and attendance improvements.
- Experience in NHS or large, complex organisations.
- Strong analytical, project management and organisational skills.
- Effective communicator and influencer; able to lead projects and manage sensitive issues; maintain confidentiality.
- Experience turning evidence into practical interventions and evaluating impact; building cross-organisational relationships.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to communicate and influence at all levels across specialities
