As a Consultant Psychiatrist in Intellectual Disability CAMHS (or CA Psychiatry with ID/Neurodiversity experience), you will join a supportive, multidisciplinary LD CAMHS team in North Derbyshire. You will help shape care for young people with intellectual disabilities, working across a well-integrated CAMHS service and partner agencies. Key requirements
- MBChB or equivalent
- CCT in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
- MRCPsych or equivalent qualification
- Full GMC registration with licence to practise and entry on the GMC Specialist Register or within six months of CCT
- S12 Approval (Desirable: Specialist interest/qualifications in other areas)
- Experience of working with young people and families/carers
- Quality/audit project experience
- Good knowledge of child and adolescent psychiatry and wide medical knowledge
- Clinical supervision experience/skills
- Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients
- Desirable: CBT/IPT/brief intervention training
- Desirable: training/mentoring of clinical staff and enthusiasm for education
- Disclosure and Barring Service check
