Enthusiastic Consultant Psychiatrist sought for a substantive CAMHS role across Chesterfield and Buxton. You will lead and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to high-quality child and adolescent mental health care within an NHS Foundation Trust. Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership within the CAMHS team and work in a multidisciplinary setting
  • Deliver high-quality psychiatric assessment and care for children and adolescents
  • Collaborate across Chesterfield Royal Hospital and Buxton Health Centre, with flexible site options
  • Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives
  • Support and mentor clinical staff, with potential to lead training efforts
  • Engage with paediatrics and community services to ensure integrated care

Key requirements

  • MBChB or equivalent medical qualification
  • MRCPsych or equivalent
  • CCT in child and adolescent psychiatry
  • GMC registration and licence to practise (or within 6 months of interview)
  • Experience of working with young people and families, and good CAMHS knowledge
  • Quality/audit project experience
  • Clinical supervision/leadership experience
  • Basic IT skills
