Overview

You will lead and shape urgent and emergency care services for CYP&F, driving transformational practice and coproduction with children, young people and families. You will manage people, lead projects, and oversee quality and service design to improve patient care. You’ll collaborate with cross‑organisational teams and external partners to deliver strategic developments aligned with local and national priorities. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to influence service delivery and staff wellbeing within a compassionate, values‑driven Trust.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of Clinical Service in delivering safe, effective clinical services with leadership, supervision, appraisal and performance management of staff
  • Collaborate with other health teams, Social Services and Voluntary Agencies to maximise service provision and patient care
  • Work with the Head of Clinical Services, Head of Operations and Associate Director of Operations to influence strategic development of services
  • Oversee staff development and wellbeing for direct reports and those they supervise, ensuring a culture that enables staff to perform at their best
  • Contribute to strategic delivery in line with national and local priorities within and across organisations
  • Align recruitment and induction practices with Trust values and governance standards

Key requirements

  • Degree level qualification or equivalent (essential)
  • Evidence of continuing professional development (essential)
  • Budget management and project management knowledge (essential)
  • Understanding of service improvement tools, clinical governance and health care standards (essential)
  • Experience of senior management/leadership in a clinical setting and change management (essential)
