Overview

In this Band 6 Clinical Lead role, you will support running a new, state-of-the-art adult inpatient service and help shape high-quality mental health care. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver effective assessment, treatment and care, contributing to the service’s transformation ambitions. The role offers opportunities for professional growth within an inclusive, compassionate culture and flexible work arrangements where possible. A strong nursing leadership contribution is expected to drive risk management and staff development in a new 64-bed inpatient setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Ward Manager to coordinate team roles and ensure a coherent nursing system
  • Support risk assessments, care plan reviews, and updates in collaboration with the Ward Manager
  • Provide professional nursing guidance to staff and other professionals
  • Manage staff development through appraisal, supervision, and CPD
  • Contribute to an inclusive, values-driven work environment and support career progression for colleagues

Key requirements

  • Registration with NMC as RMN
  • RMN Diploma/Degree/Masters
  • Extensive post-qualification experience in mental health (acute inpatient, forensic, or HBPoS)
