In this role you will provide psychological assessment and a range of interventions for adults with complex, severe mental health needs within the Neighbourhood Community Mental Health Services. You will work within the Complex Needs, SMI and Recovery pathway and contribute to the Integrated Neighbourhood Team, collaborating with partners to deliver person-centred care. The role supports the Community Mental Health Framework and Fuller Stocktake aims, focusing on prevention, reducing inequalities, and improving access to personalised support. Responsibilities
- Provide psychological assessment and interventions for adults with complex mental health problems
- Contribute across the Integrated Neighbourhood Team and support flexible, collaborative working
- Help deliver high-quality, accessible psychosocial therapies embedded in wider service delivery
- Develop and embed integrated clinical pathways across primary, secondary, and crisis/urgent care
- Collaborate with statutory and VCSE partners and people with lived experience to inform care
- Support prevention efforts and address inequalities through personalised care
Key requirements
- Doctorate in Clinical or Counselling Psychology (essential)
- HCPC Registered Practitioner Psychologist (essential)
- Experience with a range of mental health issues and cognitive profiles (essential)
- Experience with multiple psychological models (systemic, behavioural, individual) (essential)
- Post-qualification clinical experience and service development experience (essential)
- Valid driving licence and ability to work in community settings (essential)
- Completion of clinical supervision course or plan to complete within 6 months (essential)
