Job summaryWe are seeking an enthusiastic Consultant Colorectal Surgeon to join our team at The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust. The successful candidate will provide high-quality clinical care, contribute to service development, and educate and train resident staff. Main duties of the jobThe post holder is expected to have broad experience of General Surgery and a specialist interest in Colorectal Surgery with the ability and drive to contribute to the further development of the expertise in this area. The appointee will be proficient in all aspects of Colorectal Surgery, including colonoscopy and laparoscopic resections. The appointee will also be expected to fully participate in and support the General Surgery Consultant on call rota. We are a department that provides a consultant-led service, collaborating across the surgical teams seeking to lead surgical innovation. The department has historically led the way in holding senior medical management roles and we would look to new consultants to join our group of educational supervisors.
