As Business & Operations Manager you will work directly with the GP Partners to ensure the practice remains financially sustainable, operationally efficient and fully compliant. You will be responsible for developing strategy, leading organisational performance and supporting our managers and teams to deliver excellent services for our patients and community.You'll provide leadership across six key areas:Strategy: Business strategy; Business planning; Service development; Contract management; Performance dashboards and benchmarking; Income generation; QOF performance.Governance: CQC Registered Manager; Regulatory compliance; Risk register; Business continuity; Information Governance; Health & Safety; Organisational safeguarding; Governance meetings; Significant Event and Learning Event analysis; Clinical policies; Standard Operating Procedures.Finance: Budget ownership; Financial forecasting; Payroll oversight; Enhanced Services (EA/DES/LES); Investment planning and funding opportunities.Workforce: Recruitment; Workforce planning; Senior team appraisals; HR strategy; Training strategy; HR document compliance; Workflow efficiencies and continuous improvement.Estates: Estate management; Contractor management; Premises security; Estate development projects.Digital: IT strategy; Telephone systems; Digital transformation and technology-enabled service improvement.About usWe are a friendly, busy, and innovative GMS practice caring for approximately 12,000 patients in north-east Essex, where work-life balance is more than just a buzzword.Our team includes two supportive GP partners, 7 salaried GPs, an excellent nursing team with specialist skills in diabetes, asthma and COPD, 4 advanced nurse practitioners (ANPs), practice nurses, HCAs, clinical pharmacists, and a dedicated administrative and reception team working together to provide high-quality patient care.We pride ourselves on being relaxed, family-friendly, and supportive, with flexible working patterns and a strong team ethos.
