Job summaryAn opportunity is available in the Audiology department at PAH for an Audiologist to come and work in our friendly team. We work across three sites in Epping, Harlow and Bishops Stortford and travel to all three sites is essential. We are keen to hear from upcoming graduates and it may be possible to hold the position until September graduation. We benefit from being a training department and currently have 2xSTPs, 1 BSc and 1 MSc Student. We also run Paediatric Assessment and Rehabilitation and we encourage rotation through our Paediatric Service for all our staff to gain new skills, where possible, depending on the needs of the service at the time.Main duties of the jobThe Audiologist works in a range of settings with patients suffering from hearing difficulties, their family and other carers, undertakes diagnostic investigations of hearing for both adults and children where highly accurate results are vital, and works with patients to fit and verify hearing aid prescription, formulate individual treatment plans and provide ongoing care, advice and support to adults with mild to moderate or profound hearing difficulties. Scope and range Internally Often working independently, you will work with Senior Audiologists and the Audiology Manager and Deputy Manger when you require support, and offer support and guidance to the Band 4 Assistant Audiologist and the PTP Trainees.
