b Overview /b p As a Consultant Cardiologist with a focus on cardiac imaging, you will strengthen and expand the imaging portfolio across the Trust’s acute hospitals and CDC sites. You will work within the cardio logy team to deliver elective and urgent services, including 24/7 PCI, and participate in a cardiology-on-call rota. The role blends clinical imaging duties with MDT involvement, teaching, and service development to serve a ~320,000 population in a rural region. You will contribute to a dynamic, clinically led department and help shape regional cardiac imaging capabilities. /p b Responsibilities /b ul li Cardiac imaging duties and accreditation-relevant practice /li li Participation in the care-on-ward (COW) rota /li li Conducting planned clinics and ward teaching for Central Doctors /li li Contributing to MDT meetings and referral triage /li li Supporting weekend routine cardiology work (1:6) /li li Traveling to Whitehaven Hospital and Workington CDC to cover service /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Valid GMC registration /li li Entry on GMC Specialist Register (CCT/CESR) /li li MBBS or equivalent primary medical qualification /li li Membership of Royal College Physicians or equivalent /li /ul ul li Enquiring, critical approach to work /li li Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team /li li Leadership qualities /li li Experience in clinical cardiology with cardiac imaging accreditation (CT or MRI) /li li BSE or equivalent training in transthoracic echo /li li Clinical governance and audit experience /li /ul
