Overview
In this role you will lead cross-organisational programmes and support the evolution of Public Health Wales's PMO. You will drive delivery of complex change in the public sector, collaborating with diverse stakeholders to realise the organisation's long-term health strategy. You will work on programmes spanning health initiatives, service implementations and digital transformation, leveraging agile, waterfall or hybrid approaches. You will also strengthen governance, standards and the profession through effective assurance and leadership.

Responsibilities
- lead and manage cross-organisational programmes and projects
- support the development of the Portfolio Management Office (PMO)
- provide assurance that programmes are well managed
- develop and strengthen Programme and Project Management Standards
- contribute to professional development within Public Health Wales
- demand-based attendance at CQ2 Cardiff offices for meetings and events
- collaborate with stakeholders to deliver complex change in the public sector
Key requirements
- Master's Degree level or equivalent experience
- continued professional development
- Project and/or Programme Management Office qualification (Prince2, MSP) or equivalent
- experience managing successful projects at a senior level
- effective partnership working in the public sector
- significant experience delivering change projects in complex programmes
- experience of effective stakeholder engagement with external bodies
- desirable NHS experience
- highly developed interpersonal and communication skills

- competent in the use of desktop applications
