Overview
In this role you will provide specialist clinical pharmacy and medicines optimisation for patients with complex haematology needs. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to shape and develop a high-quality, sustainable service across Cardiff and Vale. You will mentor colleagues, support professional development, and lead service-improvement efforts to enhance patient care. This is an opportunity to advance clinical practice in a collaborative, patient-centred environment with strong leadership support.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, mentorship and education for pharmacy staff and less experienced colleagues
- Support learning and development of medical and nursing staff within the multidisciplinary team
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives
- Optimise medicines use within haematology and ensure safe, effective, patient-centred care
- Collaborate with wider healthcare teams to uphold high standards of clinical practice
- Develop leadership, clinical and service-improvement skills and contribute to the care of patients with complex haematological conditions
Key requirements
- GPhC registered
- MRPharmS
- Diploma or equivalent
- Independent prescriber
- Hospital pharmacy experience
- Supervisory experience
- Directorate experience
- Haematology pharmacy experience (desirable)
