Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical sessions in occupational therapy
- Develop and refresh curriculum content to reflect current research and industry standards
- Supervise and mentor undergraduate and postgraduate students
- Design and deliver interprofessional modules and assessments
- Contribute to high-quality research and publish in peer-reviewed venues
- Engage with clinical partners to strengthen practice-based learning
- Provide leadership in module/taught programme development and placement coordination
- Participate in quality assurance, outreach, and public engagement activities
- Support students' academic and professional development through mentorship and feedback
- Support and develop continuous professional development and staff development within the programme
Key requirements
- Current HCPC registration
- Degree in Occupational Therapy (BSc/MSc)
- Experience in teaching/lecturing or facilitation of learning (desirable)
- Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching or HEA membership (desirable)
- Evidence of meeting teaching needs of the Occupational Therapy course
- Experience in practice/relevant industry at an advanced level
- Current links to relevant professional practice
