Overview
In this role you support the emotional wellbeing of adults with IBD within an integrated IBD Service. You will work with medical and AHP colleagues to deliver a co-produced psychological care pathway, combining individual, family and group interventions. Youβll develop resources, supervise staff, and contribute to staff development across hospital and community settings. The post sits in the Physical Health speciality, offering flexible working and opportunities to collaborate across disciplines. Youβll help shape innovative psychological programmes and resource development.

Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality psychological information, advice and workshops for adults, families and staff
- Offer psychological support, consultation, and joint work with non-psychology staff
- Deliver therapeutic work with adults and their families through individual, family and group formats
- Develop and evaluate new clinical and psychological programmes
Key requirements
- HCPC Registered Practitioner Psychologist
- Honours degree in Psychology
- Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (accredited by HCPC)
- Experience with people with physical health conditions
- Experience of clinical supervision (individual and group)
- Experience across care settings (outpatient, community, primary care, inpatient, residential)
- Desirable: co-production with service users
- Desirable: post-qualification therapeutic training, teaching experience
- Desirable: Welsh language ability
- Empathy and warmth in communication
- Ability to manage distress and high-emotion situations
- Strong written communication
- Clinical psychology assessment, formulation and intervention
- Group and family therapy
- Programme development and evaluation
