Job summaryThis post is located within a Core CAMHS team in Bury. The role will involve the provision of Clinical Psychology assessment and interventions in to the Core CAMHS service The post will involve casework within the core Tier 3 CAMHS service working with a caseload of young people with complex presentations.The successful candidate will have experience in delivering several models of psychological therapy to this population (e.g. CBT, DBT, EMDR), and will be keen to develop further therapeutic competence (e.g. IPT, MBT).The post holder will utilise research skills for audit, policy, service development and research. The post holder will work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice within the service. They will adhere to Trust policies.o The post holder will work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team, ensuring that high quality individualised care is delivered which ensures safety and a commitment to promoting recovery and wellbeing and maximising independence.Main duties of the jobThe post holder will be expected to work in a variety of settings, includinga number of specialist children's services and community settings, including the child and family's home, residential settings and the child's school. These should aim to provide as far as possible a clear framework/ shared understanding for the childs development, vulnerabilities, strengths and needs.To formulate and implement plans for the formal psychological treatment and/or management of up to 18 years of age with mental health difficulties, learning disabilities, ASD, severe challenging behaviours, attachment problems and complex emotional difficulties. Based upon an appropriate conceptual framework of the childs problems, and employing methods of proven efficacy, across the full range of care settings.
