Overview
In this role you will provide clinical and strategic leadership within the Learning Disability Care Hub, guiding psychology services to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care. You will work with multidisciplinary teams, families and partner organisations to develop services, drive quality improvement and influence Trust-wide priorities. You will balance specialist clinical work with workforce development, research and teaching to advance learning disability practice and reduce health inequalities. This is a senior, impact-driven leadership position in a supportive, innovative Trust setting.

Responsibilities
- Provide visible professional and clinical leadership for psychological therapies across the Care Hub
- Contribute to strategic direction and delivery of high-quality, person-centred care aligned with Trust priorities
- Lead service improvements and innovative projects; shape future models of care
- Offer expert consultation, risk assessment guidance, and treatment planning to multi-disciplinary teams
- Maintain a small specialist caseload while developing service-wide psychological approaches
- Promote strengths-based, trauma-informed, evidence-based practices
- Develop policies, pathways and standards across learning disability services
- Lead and contribute to research, audits and quality improvement activities
- Build partnerships with community, health, social care and third-sector organisations
- Lead, supervise and mentor psychological therapy staff and trainees; support recruitment and workforce planning
- Champion rights, inclusion and wellbeing of people with learning disabilities and their families
- Represent the Care Hub in Trust-wide and external forums
Key requirements
- Good honours degree in Psychology
- Post-graduate doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent) accredited by the BPS
- HCPC registration as Practitioner Psychologist
- Advanced specialist training/qualifications in relevant therapeutic approaches
- Clinical supervision training for Doctoral trainees; experience supervising Clinical Psychologists in Training
- Experience as a highly specialised clinical psychologist with extensive work with people with learning disabilities and complex needs
