In this role you will be the first point of contact at the practice, guiding patients and visitors and ensuring a smooth, helpful experience across in-person and phone enquiries. You will work closely with the team to manage appointments, prescriptions, and records, supporting efficient clinical workflows. The role combines front-desk reception, admin tasks, and light documentation to maintain a welcoming environment in a teaching GP practice. Pay / Benefits
- Greet and assist patients and visitors at the main reception
- Handle high volumes of face-to-face and telephone enquiries
- Book clinic appointments and manage diaries
- Process repeat and routine prescriptions per guidelines
- Update electronic patient records and assist with Docman
- Monitor email inbox and patient messages
- Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes and distribute papers
- Monitor and order reception stock and maintain supplies
- Keep reception area and information leaflets organized and up to date
