Overview
In this role you will deliver anaesthetic and chronic pain care within a multidisciplinary setting, supporting both acute and chronic pain pathways. You will contribute to the Integrated MSK, Pain and Rheumatology Service (IMPReS) and work under senior clinical leads to shape evidence-based, bio-psychosocial pain management. The post offers exposure to outpatient MDT clinics and theatre sessions, with a focus on cross-disciplinary collaboration. This is a pivotal role for advancing patient-centered pain care within the Trust.
Responsibilities
- Provide anaesthetic and chronic pain sessions (outpatient MDT clinics and theatre sessions) to the pain service
- Contribute to both acute and chronic pain management pathways
- Collaborate with the Clinical Lead for Chronic Pain Medicine and the Clinical Director in Anesthetics
- Follow an agreed timetable and participate in multi-professional care
- Support and embed evidence-based practice and shared care across disciplines
Key requirements
- Full GMC registration
- FRCA or equivalent (included on GMC Specialist Register in Anesthetics)
- Clinical experience and training equivalent to Advanced Specialist Training in Pain Medicine
- ACLS / ALS
- Excellent clinical and communication skills
- Multi-professional team working
