Overview
In this role you deliver high-quality dermatology care in a community setting, supporting patients outside traditional hospitals. You will work with a cross-functional team to provide timely, end-to-end patient care and independently manage a diverse caseload. You help expand CHEC’s community dermatology services in partnership with the NHS, shaping local access and outcomes. You will use your clinical autonomy to diagnose, treat, and educate patients, driving practical improvements in skin health.
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and treat a range of dermatological conditions
- Utilise dermoscopy to examine and monitor skin lesions
- Perform minor surgical procedures (excisons of cysts, moles, skin tags, warts, lipomas)
- Educate and counsel patients on treatment plans, medications, and preventative skin care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care
- Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and clinical documentation per GMC guidelines
Key requirements
- Valid GMC registration
- Medical Degree (MBBS/MBChB or equivalent) and GMC registration
- Substantial experience in diagnosing and treating dermatology in a hospital setting
- Strong understanding of dermatology guidelines and evidence-based practice
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
