We are looking for two exceptional and experienced senior leaders to join NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board as Director of Integration for Leeds and Director of Integration for Bradford, District and Craven. NHS West Yorkshire ICB is in the process of moving to its new role as a strategic commissioner. In this role, the ICB will continue to work very closely with the wider WY health and care system, including but not limited to partners, people and local communities, to improve outcomes, experiences and reduce health inequalities.
Our objectives and commitments both as an organisation and system will continue to be bold and ambitious, building on the great work we have collectively achieved together. The ICB will have three core roles:
- Strategic commissioner - Ensuring that services are planned and delivered in a way that meets the needs of the population both now and in the future.
- Convenor - Bringing together all partners in the Integrated Care System to agree and deliver the five-year strategy, ensuring delivery of local and national priorities by working together effectively and taking mutual responsibility for the results.
- Integrator - Place-based integrator teams will assess population health risk and facilitate place provider partnerships to co-design new integrated models of care.
The Directors of Integration will lead place-based integrator teams to a) deliver integrated neighbourhood healthcare and b) support the development of place-based provider partnerships.
Main duties of the job include providing strategic leadership at place, acting as the formal ICB representative at all Leeds or Bradford partnership leadership forums and decision-making bodies, including Health & Wellbeing Boards in all five places. This will require strong collaboration with local partners to develop and champion how the ICB supports a shared vision and strategic plan for the place which promotes integration, ensuring alignment with NHS England and ICB policy frameworks, as well as Health and Wellbeing Strategies and Place Plans of Local Government.
The postholder will also be responsible for managing delegated multi-million-pound budgets across community health, primary care, and VCSE sectors, in line with the ICB scheme of delegation and standing financial instructions, ensuring financial stewardship and alignment with strategic goals. It is expected that the postholder will promote dignity, respect, equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of work and develop a culture that promotes equality and values diversity.
