Clinical Manager for EIP in Bradford

Main duties of the job:

• To provide clinical leadership and operational management to Adult Community Mental Health services, within the Trust.
• To be accountable for the direct delivery of adult community mental health services across defined areas of responsibility.
• The post holder will ensure delivery of high standards of care, clinical governance arrangements and a commitment to improving the quality agenda and contribute to the care trust agenda as a member of the management team.
• To contribute, as part of the management team, to the Trust's strategic agenda and business planning systems for own area of responsibility.
• The post holder is expected to work within organisational and other national and local policies to interpret and embed these within their work area and to be accountable for service development and its practical implementation.
• The post holder may be required to deputise for their line manager or provide cover for a peer colleague, as required.
• In addition, the post holder will be expected to support the implementation of various projects and new initiatives as they arise.

Person Specification:

• Qualifications: Hold a relevant professional qualification in health or social care. Minimum of two years experience of managing mental health services at team leader/manager level.
• Knowledge: Knowledge of relevant national policies, mental health legislation, best practice, quality frameworks and local approach to implementation within specific area of responsibility.
• Skills: Ability to set out a vision for area of responsibility and influence and persuade others of the benefits and requirements whilst overcoming barriers to achieving this.
• Experience: Experience of supporting the implementation of service developments and reconfiguration. Experience and knowledge of working in and managing in a multi-disciplinary team setting with a mental health setting.
