Overview

As Unit Manager - Clinical, you will support the care home management team to deliver high-quality, compassionate care in a safe, inclusive environment. You’ll lead nursing and care staff, drive effective care planning, and ensure staffing coverage and smooth medication processes. You’ll partner with the Deputy Manager and Clinical Managers to uphold high standards of care and resident well-being. Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of nurses, senior carers and carers; provide staff support and guidance
  • Enhance resident quality of life through effective care planning
  • Manage and participate in rota to ensure consistent coverage
  • Support medication systems, ordering and distribution of prescribed medications
  • Collaborate with Deputy Manager and Clinical Managers to uphold care standards

Key requirements

  • An active NMC PIN
  • NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes
  • At least two years' experience in a care home
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Warmth and empathy

  • Rota/shift scheduling
