Job summaryThe Trauma and Orthopaedic Department at UHD are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the team as a Speciality Doctor in Trauma.This is an exciting time to join as we are currently making great progress with a vision in creating a first class fully integrated Trauma and Orthopaedic Service within our Bournemouth and Poole Hospital sites as part of the new University Hospitals Dorset.Main duties of the jobWorking alongside our existing specialty doctors and registrars to provide care to inpatients including new admissionsSupervision and support of junior medical colleagues, Physicians Associates and Advanced Nurse Practitioners/Advanced Clinical PractitionersMaintaining continued professional developmentAttending multidisciplinary meetingsAttending and contributing to educational sessions and Clinical Governance meetingsPartaking in departmental Quality Improvement workParticipating in the hospital appraisal process as part of on-going professional developmentWeekend working will be expected in this role.About usOur values define who we are as #TeamUHD.
