In this role you will educate and develop nursing staff within the emergency department and urgent care, driving a patient-centered approach and safe, effective care. You will lead classroom teaching and collaborate with clinical teams to advance practice and service delivery. The role is anchored in a trauma-focused department with strong ties to wellbeing and staff development. You will partner with the wider team to shape education initiatives and support learners on placement.

Responsibilities

  • Provide education and training for nursing staff in the emergency department, urgent care and minor injury units
  • Support learners on placement within the Trust
  • Deliver classroom teaching to support staff development
  • Work with clinical staff to aid progression and practice improvements

  • NMC registration (essential)
  • Continual professional development (essential)
  • Mentorship experience (essential)
  • Subject-specific clinical skills knowledge (essential)
  • Experience in Emergency settings with adults and children (essential)
  • ALS/APLS qualification (essential)
  • Degree qualification (desirable)
