Overview
As a Band 5 Clinical Research Practitioner at the CRF, you will coordinate the IBHO BioResource while supporting early-phase clinical studies. You will engage with diverse communities, manage study processes, and ensure regulatory compliance in a dynamic research environment. This role offers hands-on participant-facing work and data management across a range of diseases, with a focus on improving health outcomes for UK Black communities. You will work closely with colleagues and external partners to drive inclusive research participation and high-quality trial delivery.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver the IBHO BioResource and support early-phase CRF studies
- Identify/screen potential participants and obtain informed consent
- Collect/process blood and tissue samples; record vitals; perform ECGs and phlebotomy
- Maintain Investigator Site Files and manage study data
- Respond to data queries and assist sponsor monitoring visits
- Ensure procedures align with study protocol and regulatory requirements
- Engage with participants and collaborate with colleagues and external partners
- Contribute to reducing health inequalities through research activities
Key requirements
- Significant experience in clinical trial/research data management
- Experience of research in a healthcare setting
- Understanding of research governance and GCP (ICH GCP)
- Essential GCSE English and maths; degree-level or diploma-level education in Healthcare, Science or Research
