Overview

In this Consultant Psychiatrist role at the Julier Centre, you provide senior clinical leadership within an AMHT serving adults in Bicester and surrounding areas. You will shape pathways and contribute to service development across secondary, primary, and community care to improve recovery outcomes. The post offers a chance to influence care at scale within a trusted NHS environment. Responsibilities

  • Provide senior medical input and clinical leadership to the team
  • Take medical responsibility for patients under your care and supervise others
  • Undertake MHA assessments and RC responsibility as required
  • Collaborate with managers, service managers, and other consultants to develop the service
  • Provide clinical supervision and line management to trainees and specialty doctors
  • Ensure medical involvement in CPA processes and weekly MDT ward rounds
  • Coordinate family and professionals' meetings and patient reviews including seclusion reviews
  • Contribute to referral management and care planning reviews with care coordinators
  • Adhere to evidence-based practice and supporting research-informed care

Key requirements

  • Full GMC registration
  • Eligible for inclusion in the Specialist Register (or Specialist Registrar within 6 months of CCT)
  • Eligible for Section 12 Approval/Approved Clinician or willing to apply in post
