Overview
In this role you will deliver brief, high-quality CBT to children and young people in schools and colleges, lead Whole School Approach activities, and supervise Education Mental Health Practitioners. You will build school networks, deliver staff training, support group programmes, and co-create mental health resources. You will contribute to MHST leadership, governance, and multidisciplinary collaboration, while advancing early identification and evidence-based practice across education settings.

Responsibilities
- Deliver brief, high-quality CBT interventions to CYP in schools/colleges, including assessments, early interventions, and outcome measures
- Lead Whole School Approach activities (workshops, groups, staff training, consultation) and promote early identification of needs
- Plan and deliver care per NICE guidelines, initiate referrals, and provide psychoeducation to CYP and families
- Contribute to MHST leadership, support team culture, multidisciplinary working, audits, governance, and knowledge-sharing
- Maintain clinical records, manage caseloads, support agile working, and collect MHST data
- Engage in ongoing professional development, mandatory training, appraisal, and maintaining clinical competencies
- Support new staff and contribute to training; assist in implementing policies and initiatives
- Develop materials for interventions and collaborate with schools to embed MHST support
- Travel between schools; develop school networks and co-produce mental health resources
Key requirements
- CYPMHS clinicians undertaking/completed CYP-PT CBT or SFP training, or registered professionals with a postgraduate diploma in evidence-based psychological therapies
- Strong CBT experience
- Ability to travel between schools (car desirable)
