Overview

Join a multidisciplinary MHST as a Senior Clinician and Supervisor to lead clinical care for CYP with mild to moderate mental health needs in education settings. You will supervise junior staff and Trainee EMHPs, develop training with partners, and support whole school approaches to improve mental health outcomes. The role combines hands-on CBT delivery with supervision, MDT collaboration, and service development. This position offers CPD, flexible working considerations, and a path to contribute to national MHST development.

Responsibilities

  • supervise junior staff and Trainee EMHPs and provide caseload oversight
  • develop and co-produce training materials with partner agencies
  • deliver and support whole school approach models for mental health
  • work with schools, CYP, and families to plan interventions and outcomes
  • formulate treatment and management plans with Locality Clinical Lead
  • conduct thorough assessments, risk assessments, care plans, and reviews
  • maintain clinical registrations and continue professional development
  • deliver evidence-based CBT and supervise CBT-informed practices
  • collaborate with MHST Locality Leads, Operational Manager, and partner organisations
  • engage in service development, inclusion initiatives, and research

Key requirements

  • fully registered/accredited with HCPC, NMC, or BABCP
  • strong grounding in CBT with clinical practice
  • experience supervising or mentoring other practitioners
  • experience with CYP and CAMHS-informed interventions
  • ability to work autonomously and within an MDT
  • commitment to ongoing CPD and evidence-based practice
