Overview

As a Consultant Obstetrician/Gynaecologist with a special interest in Fetal Medicine and High-Risk Obstetrics, you will lead complex obstetric care and contribute to service development within a high-performing NHS foundation trust. You will work within the Obstetrics & Gynaecology team to deliver expert maternal and fetal care and collaborate across multi-professional groups to sustain quality outcomes. Responsibilities

  • Provide consultant-level obstetric and gynaecology care with emphasis on fetal medicine and high-risk obstetrics
  • lead and supervise junior medical staff and medical students
  • contribute to service development and MDT-based patient care
  • participate in governance, quality improvement, and research activities
  • maintain professional standards and effective communication with patients and colleagues

Key requirements

  • Full GMC registration
  • MRCOG or equivalent
  • CCT or equivalent; on the GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of anticipated CCT date
  • ATSM in high risk obstetrics / ultrasound training (desirable)
  • ATSM in fetal medicine (desirable)
  • Experience in UK general obstetrics and gynaecology training and ATSM/ equivalent in fetal medicine or high-risk obstetrics
