Overview

In this role you lead procurement activities for the Ambulance Radio Programme, shaping end-to-end processes and ensuring value for money and regulatory compliance.

You will also manage contracts and performance, acting as a trusted commercial partner to ARP and NHS Ambulance Trusts across the UK.

You’ll engage a broad set of stakeholders and drive commercial change to support critical communications services.

This is a pivotal, impact-driven role within a large public sector programme.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end procurement for ARP services to NHS Ambulance Trusts across England, Scotland and Wales
  • Design and run open/competitive procedures and framework procurements
  • Ensure value for money, transparency and regulatory adherence throughout the lifecycle
  • Manage contract implementation and delivery, maintaining records and performance
  • Resolve commercial issues and lead change where required
  • Engage and influence a broad range of stakeholders including DHSC, Home Office, CC Service and NHS Trusts
  • Key requirements
  • CIPS member or qualified to at least level 4
  • Degree or equivalent
  • Experience in financial, contractual and commercial aspects of complex contracts
  • Experience in resolving queries and influencing people
  • Management experience producing contractual/commercial evaluations for senior management
  • Ability to draft and review contract change notices and other contractual documents
  • Self-reliant and tenacious
  • Highly analytical
  • Desirable: experience delivering large-scale NHS or Central Government procurements
  • Desirable: understanding of NHS, wider public procurement and commercial marketplace
