Overview
In this role you provide high-quality nursing care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures, prioritising patient safety and dignity. You will assist with endoscopy, coordinate with other departments to keep lists running smoothly, and perform core nursing duties with a service-oriented mindset. You join a multidisciplinary theatre team within a private hospital focused on fast access to specialists and personalised care. Responsibilities
- Provide high standard nursing care for endoscopic patients with emphasis on safety and dignity
- Assist with endoscopic procedures
- Coordinate with other departments and wards to ensure smooth running of lists
- Perform relevant nursing duties and maintain quality service
- Demonstrate a positive, proactive attitude toward patient care
- Support the theatre team in a private hospital setting
Key requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience in Endoscopy
- Knowledge of current Endoscopy guidelines and standards
- NMC Registered with no restrictions
- Confident working independently and in a multidisciplinary team
- Experience in an acute hospital setting
- Motivation to perform extended skills (cannulation/venepuncture/IV drug administration)
- Clear verbal and written communication across healthcare staff including consultants
