Overview
In this role you will provide clinical leadership for Orthotic Services, shaping standards and practice. You will advise the organisation, develop a competency-based framework, and deliver skills-based training to practitioners. You will critically appraise current research to maintain expert knowledge and practice. A Welsh language requirement is desirable, reflecting the local context and patient needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership for Orthotic Services to drive quality and consistency
- Develop and maintain clinical standards in line with best practice
- Offer clinical advice to the organisation, particularly to the Head of Podiatry and Orthotics
- Create a competency-based framework for practitioners working with orthotic devices
- Deliver skills-based training for orthotics practitioners
- Conduct critical analysis and synthesis of current research to maintain expertise
Key requirements
- HCPC registration
- Comprehensive experience working within Orthotics
- Able to travel between sites in a timely manner
