Overview
In this role you lead the Overseas and Private Patient Team to ensure accurate charging and billing for overseas visitors across Trust sites.
You interpret overseas patient regulations, advise clinical and non-clinical colleagues, and manage private patient arrangements to support timely income recovery.
You will develop and motivate the team, coordinate workloads, and deliver specialist training while handling sensitive conversations with patients and families.

Responsibilities
- Identify chargeable patients and support accurate invoicing across Trust sites
- Lead and develop the Overseas and Private Patient Team; coordinate workloads and performance
- Interpret complex overseas patient regulations and national guidance; advise colleagues
- Manage private patient arrangements and support income recovery with Credit Control
- Ensure invoices, records and EHIC claims are accurate and complete
- Deliver specialist training and contribute to policy and process improvements
- Handle sensitive conversations with patients and families with empathy and professionalism
