Overview

In this Security role, you will protect patients, staff and premises by leading risk assessments, delivering training, and implementing controls to promote safe, compliant environments. You’ll collaborate with multiple departments to embed best practice and safety culture across the Trust. The position offers variety, autonomy and the chance to influence security standards in a dynamic healthcare setting. You will work primarily at Heartlands Hospital with flexibility to cover other sites as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver security training to staff and stakeholders
  • Carry out security risk assessments and inspections
  • Recommend and implement control measures to promote safe working environments
  • Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure best practice and compliance
  • Work independently with sound judgment and manage a varied workload

Key requirements

  • Experience of security within a health care setting
  • Experience of delivering security-based training
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience with incident reporting tools
  • Knowledge of NHS Protect Agenda and related security regulations
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
