Overview

In this role you will lead high-quality Oral & Maxillofacial surgical services at a major NHS trust. You will work within a team of OMFS surgeons to manage elective and emergency cases across outpatient, day-case and inpatient settings. You will prioritise queues for clinics and admissions within national targets. The post sits in the context of a transforming Trust with a new medical school, research focus and a trauma centre, offering opportunities to shape care delivery and regional services.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality OMFS patient services across elective, emergency, outpatient, day-case and inpatient care
  • Prioritise outpatient and admission lists within nationally defined targets
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan and coordinate patient pathways
  • Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives

Key requirements

  • Full GMC registration
  • Full GDC registration
  • CCT or specialist registration (or plan to obtain within 6 months of interview)
  • Trained in all aspects of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
  • Evidence of audit and service improvement
  • Strong emphasis on safety and professional conduct
