Overview
In this role you support the Information Governance team to ensure statutory, regulatory and organisational information governance obligations are met.
You will advise staff, manage inquiries and contribute to ongoing process improvements in data handling, privacy, and information sharing.
You work across governance projects, DPIAs, FOI and incident work, helping to sustain high standards of compliance and a customer-focused IG service.
You will join a collaborative team and play a key part in shaping governance practices across the Trust.

Responsibilities
- Support senior IG colleagues in delivering governance projects and the IG work programme
- Coordinate and maintain DPIAs with accurate documentation for review
- Monitor departmental work programme and dashboards, flagging risks or non-compliance
- Assist investigations into IG incidents, FOI and Supportworks requests, provide cover as needed
- Attend IG Steering Groups and meetings, prepare progress papers and reports
- Provide guidance on IG policies and procedures to staff and patients
- Contribute to policy development, review and system improvements
- Maintain the IG Share Point library with version control
- Deliver annual IG audit programme and assess staff awareness of policies
- Recommend improvements post-incident or risk, support training updates
- Support Data Mapping annual work programme, documenting data flows and risks
- Follow up on data mapping activity and escalate non-compliance
- Maintain Information Sharing Agreements records and reflect within data maps
- Support transition of SIAs to DPIAs and obtain approvals
- Assist with IG mailbox/Service Desk handling and timely responses
- Plan and prioritise workload balancing planned work and emergencies
- Proofread IG papers and materials for publication
- Build cross-team relationships and contribute to effective teamwork
- Undertake additional project/administrative duties as required
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with relevant legislation and policies
- Travel between Frimley Park, Heatherwood and Wexham Park Hospitals as needed
- Key requirements
- Degree level education or equivalent IG experience
- Experience across all IG areas
- Ability to write detailed procedure documents
- Experience handling complaints and explaining complex issues
- Experience auditing practices and dealing with diverse queries
- Track record supporting improved IG arrangements in complex organisations
- Desirable: project management experience
- Excellent written and oral communication with staff at all levels
- Ability to travel across sites within the Trust
