Responsibilities
- Provide specialist antimicrobial therapy guidance to medical, nursing and allied staff
- Advise on safe and effective use of medicines including reconciliation, prescribing advice and discharge planning
- Counsel patients and support clinical trials processes
- Prescribe to support medicines safety, effectiveness and discharge flow for Advanced Level pharmacists
- Collaborate with a wide team of technicians and assistants to deliver patient-centred care
- Support, motivate and engage with colleagues to develop the team and service
- Key requirements
- GPh C registration
- Master in Pharmacy (or equivalent)
- Postgraduate qualification in Clinical Pharmacy (or equivalent)
- Evidence of ongoing CPD
- Significant experience in hospital pharmacy or equivalent
- Good communication, both verbal and written
- Ability to work on own initiative and in a team
- Empathy and diplomacy
- Infection prevention and control knowledge
