The One Lancashire and South Cumbria (LSC) Procurement team is seeking applications for a Procurement Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team during a period of transformation as we move toward becoming a single, integrated procurement department serving the NHS across Lancashire and South Cumbria as a shared service provider.

The role will involve engaging with colleagues and our customers across Lancashire and South Cumbria and so a willingness to travel to varied locations and sites is a must.
Main duties of the job include:
- Leading a range of complex Estates and Facilities procurement projects across our partner NHS organisations.
- Supporting customers to deliver value for money on projects while ensuring legal compliance.
- Working within the Procurement team to deliver the procurement strategy and achieve service objectives, including savings and efficiency targets.
- Ensuring compliance with procurement regulations and providing professional advice on procurement processes.
About us: Established in November 2024, One Lancashire and South Cumbria is a shared service entity providing corporate services including Finance, Human Resources, Digital, Estates and Procurement services.
Job responsibilities include:
- Managing a portfolio of high-value and complex procurement projects that support the delivery of safe, effective, and efficient Estates and Facilities services across the region.
- Delivering procurement solutions in line with service need, achieving significant savings and efficiencies, managing supplier relationships, and contributing to service improvement initiatives.
- Leading high value Estates and Facilities collaborative procurement projects.
- Ensuring compliance with procurement legislation and governance requirements.
- Supervising, supporting and developing staff across the category.
Person Specification:
- Good general standard of education including Mathematics and English Language - GCSE level Grade 4.
- CIPS Professional qualification or substantial experience of working within a procurement environment at a senior level.
- Previous Senior Buyer experience within a complex, multi-site procurement environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
- Confidence to establish positive working relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.
