Experteer Overview In this role you will provide expert IFRS know-how and guidance on complex accounting transactions to stakeholders across the Group.

You will help prepare half-year results and the Annual Report and Accounts, including SOX controls and head office statutory accounts.

You will develop accounting policies, assess new IFRS guidance, and liaise with auditors and business units.

This position sits in the Technical Accounting and External Reporting team and offers hybrid working with a Strand office presence.

  • Draft and resolve technical accounting papers with auditors.
  • Provide technical accounting guidance for large and complex transactions.
  • Assess new IFRS guidance (IFRS 18 and IFRS 20) and implement changes across the Group.
  • Develop relationships with stakeholders and coordinate the Financial Reporting Summit.
  • Produce disclosures and operate SOX controls for half-year and year-end reporting.
  • Support month-end consolidation and prepare head office subsidiary accounts.
  • Post consolidation and elimination journals and validate month-end outputs.
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with ~2 years post-qualification experience experience in technical accounting within financial reporting or audit firm experience in a listed business (preferred) Strong IFRS knowledge self-starter with research skills and understanding of core financial processes excellent stakeholder management influencing and collaboration.
