Job Purpose
This role is responsible for the continued, reliable operation of the ET Network SCADA solution, establishing and then maintaining new ways of working. You will be planning and supporting ET network asset and ET SCADA solution changes, driving efficiency of tools and data access whilst maintaining safety and a deliverable plan of change activities. SCADA systems are critical for the real-time operation of the electricity transmission system, allowing NGET to have visibility of its asset states, ensuring safety and system security standards are always maintained.
What You'll Do
- Delivery of the ET SCADA System change process and deliverables.
- Delivery of ET SCADA change management impact assessment and business change assessments for Interfaces with the wider business, source systems, data platforms and 3rd parties.
- Deliver the System availability plan and access for both environments, tools, and connectivity.
- Deliver Network and asset change management planning and coordination.
- Data Set Switch (DSS) and commit management across all stakeholders and customers incl. approvals.
- Work pack management, QAS and delivery to meet the outage planning requirements.
- Support performance management for colleagues by actively accumulating experience and gaining insights from those responsible in senior leadership positions.
- Delivery of ET SCADA Solution capability roadmap and change management.
About You
- Project management, change management and process efficiency (6 Sigma/Lean)
- Experience of SCADA and RTU databases, displays and network modelling projects.
- Experience of control room deliverables, roles, and functions.
- Working knowledge of cyber security risks, CNI systems and NIS Regulations.
- Excellent technical understanding of the electricity industry coupled with strong leadership skills.
- Thorough understanding of National Grid obligations regarding Ofgem, BEIS and other license conditions, as well as industry requirements (Grid Code, SO-TO Code, STCPs).
- Experience of system & data handling, including testing in staging and production environments.
- Experience on systems integration using web technologies including MuleSoft.
- Essential Project management Qualification (Prince2 or equivalent), experienced project manager.
- Desirable SCADA/ telemetry exposure.
