We’re looking for a passionate PMO Governance and Change Lead to join our Asset Operations Team! As Governance and Change Lead, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of Net Zero ambitions by enabling Asset Operations capital projects to be delivered safely and effectively to time, cost, quality and performance expectations. Reporting to the Head of PMO, you will help embed robust governance, controls and best practice across cost, risk, schedule and change. Using data and performance insights, you will identify trends, draw meaningful conclusions and provide recommendations that support informed decision-making and optimise portfolio delivery.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a developing PMO function, helping to strengthen governance and assurance processes, improve ways of working, and ensure projects remain aligned with technical, regulatory and business requirements across a complex and high-value portfolio. This role is based on a hybrid working model and can be located nationally. While offering flexibility, the role requires collaboration with colleagues and attendance at our Warwick office approximately 4-5 times per month.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support the implementation and ongoing development of PMO governance, aligned with the wider PMO roadmap and organisational standards, ensuring effective portfolio oversight and control.
  • Enable portfolio-level oversight across cost, risk, schedule and change, ensuring projects remain controlled, governed and performing against agreed baselines.
  • Develop, track and report key performance metrics, owning PMO dashboards and reporting while translating complex data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
  • Coordinate cost management activities, including forecasting, budget tracking and cost governance, working closely with Finance and delivery teams to ensure financial control and transparency.
  • Oversee integrated planning and scheduling, ensuring delivery plans are credible, aligned and accurately reflect key dependencies, risks and delivery priorities.
  • Create and support the risk, issue and change management processes, facilitating risk reviews, assuring the quality of portfolio risk data, and ensuring all changes are appropriately assessed, governed and implemented across cost, schedule and risk.
  • Work with a team of PMO analysts, including offshore resources, and stakeholders across Asset Operations, delivery teams and wider business functions; support regulatory and performance reporting requirements and drive continuous improvement in PMO processes, tools and ways of working.

What You’ll Have:

  • Experience within PMO, portfolio or project controls in complex delivery environments, with a strong understanding of governance across cost, risk, schedule and change, ensuring consistent standards and controls are embedded.
  • Highly analytical, with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends and provide clear, actionable insights to support decision-making and performance improvement.
  • Knowledge of risk management practices, including facilitating workshops and supporting both quantitative risk analysis and schedule risk analysis.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively, drive change and manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
  • Organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple priorities in fast-paced environments, with a continuous improvement mindset and the drive to help shape and evolve a developing PMO function.

What You'll Get:

£48,374 - £52,465 dependent on experience. As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%. You will also have access to several flexible benefits such as a share incentive plan and technology schemes, support via employee assistance lines and matched charity giving to name a few.
