Join Our Team as an OT Second Line Senior Assurance Analyst at NGET! Are you ready to make a significant impact on the UK's energy future? NGET is looking for a dedicated OT Second Line Senior Assurance Analyst to strengthen our risk and control environment. In this pivotal role, you will provide independent oversight, challenge, and support to help us achieve our strategic objectives.
As part of our team, you will play a central role in delivering the NGET Assurance Plan and embedding the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Framework. Your work will ensure that we drive continual improvement and enable informed decision-making at all levels of the organisation. You will gain exposure to senior leadership and tackle business-critical issues, all while contributing to the future of energy in the UK.
Key Responsibilities:- Build, manage, and deliver the annual second-line assurance programme, reporting outcomes to senior leadership and governance forums.
- Provide expert advice, oversight, and support to the first line on risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and control design.
- Create high-quality, timely assurance reports that are well-evidenced, pragmatic, and add real value.
- Support the 1st Line Risk Manager in implementing the controls assurance strategy and embedding the Group risk framework across NGET.
- Facilitate and contribute to NGET Risk Committee meetings, risk deep dives, and management forums.
- Coordinate with other business areas to align assurance activities.
- Ensure effective use of Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) tooling across NGET.
- Champion continual improvement in assurance methods and practices, aligning with international standards (ISO 9001, 45001, 55001, 14001, 22301).
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, fostering strong relationships and influencing the organisation’s risk culture.
This role is based at our office in Warwick for 2 days of the week and can be combined with hybrid working from home.
What You’ll Need:- Proven Expertise: Demonstrated experience in risk management, internal controls, assurance, or audit.
- In-Depth Knowledge: A strong understanding of the Three Lines Model and enterprise risk management frameworks.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, with a knack for preparing concise, insightful reports for Executive audiences.
- Integrity and Independence: The ability to maintain independence, integrity, and objectivity while fostering trusted relationships with stakeholders.
- Agility and Organisation: An agile and adaptable mindset, complemented by strong organisational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Analytical Acumen: A keen analytical thinker focused on root-cause analysis, pragmatic recommendations, and driving continuous improvement.
- Bonus Skills: Experience in Operational Technology or Cyber Security is advantageous, though not essential.
- A competitive salary of £61,400 – £77,000 per annum.
- Annual Performance Based Bonus.
- 37 hour working week. Flexible.
- 26 days annual leave, plus eight statutory days.
