This is an exciting opportunity to join a new team at the heart of transforming how we manage asset risk. As Network Risk Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in turning complex risk model outputs into clear, actionable insights that inform strategic investment decisions and shape the future of our network. You’ll lead the evolution of our existing risk models to meet regulatory requirements under Network Asset Risk Metric (NARM) Methodology, while playing a key role in driving the development of our future Value Framework, critical in guiding our strategic investment decisions.

What you’ll do:

  • Act as the senior authority on risk modelling methodologies, ensuring our approaches and outputs meet the highest standards of quality and drive innovation aligned to industry best practices.
  • Serve as the key liaison with internal teams, our regulator, and other network operators to help evolve our risk frameworks and systematise a whole-network view of asset risk.
  • Influence the entire asset management plan by collaborating across departments and driving industry innovation that supports the energy transition.
  • Turn data into decisions and drive change in asset management, leading from the front to make a real impact.

About you:

  • STEM degree (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) or equivalent professional experience demonstrating strong analytical and technical capability.
  • Proven expertise in risk modelling and analysis within the utility/infrastructure sector or regulated environment, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality, actionable outputs.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across internal teams and external partners.
  • Hands-on experience in developing and maintaining risk models, managing large datasets, and applying advanced statistical and probabilistic techniques.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into clear, practical insights that drive decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex concepts in a clear, engaging way to both technical and non-technical audiences through reports and presentations.
  • Proficiency in modelling tools and software, combined with a solid understanding of statistical analysis, cost-benefit evaluation, and data science principles.
  • Asset Management background would be ideal, demonstrating a solid understanding of the principles and practices in the field.
  • Experience with NARM (Network Asset Risk Model) or developing Asset Management Value Frameworks, particularly within regulated environments, is highly advantageous.

What you’ll get:

A competitive salary between £65,000- £75,000- dependent on capability. As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
