You will also play a critical role in building regulatory confidence, supporting future price control submissions and ensuring a clear line of sight from strategy through to intervention and delivery.
What you'll do
- Lead the development and ownership of Asset Group Strategies across NGET's transmission asset portfolio, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, regulatory requirements and asset risk appetite.
- Shape Site and Circuit Strategies that optimise investment decisions through a system-level view of network performance, resilience and future requirements.
- Define asset performance, risk, condition and whole-life cost objectives to support consistent and evidence-based investment decision-making.
- Develop and maintain a prioritised 0-10-year asset health intervention pipeline, translating strategic objectives into actionable investment plans.
- Lead the assessment and prioritisation of asset interventions using NGET's Asset Management Value Framework.
- Oversee the Asset Health process, ensuring robust methodologies, data quality and consistent approaches are applied across the asset base.
- Drive the continuous improvement and systemisation of asset health management, transforming the way asset health decisions are made and evidenced.
- Sponsor and lead key Asset Health Transformation programmes, including improvements in condition monitoring, analytics, data management and governance.
- Develop robust engineering justifications, investment cases and options assessments to support investment decisions and future regulatory submissions.
- Support the development of future non-load investment cases through clear technical evidence, risk analysis and cost-benefit assessments.
- Act as a senior technical leader in regulatory engagement, providing expertise and evidence to support assurance activities and stakeholder confidence.
- Build strong relationships across Asset Management, Engineering, Operations, Network Planning, Finance, Regulation, Asset Information and Digital teams to drive aligned decision-making.
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability and continuous improvement.
About you
You are an experienced asset management leader with a proven track record of developing asset strategies, shaping investment decisions and delivering value across complex infrastructure portfolios. - Strong understanding of asset health, condition monitoring, asset degradation, reliability, risk-based prioritisation and whole-life asset management principles.

- A strong track record of preparing engineering justification papers, business cases and regulatory evidence to support major investment decisions.
- A good understanding of price control frameworks and regulatory environments, with the ability to demonstrate clear traceability from strategy through to delivery.
- Experience driving process improvement, governance and standardisation across cross-functional teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data, insight and evidence to influence decisions.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience leading teams and driving performance in a complex stakeholder environment.
- Energy, passion and a drive to challenge traditional approaches, helping to transform asset health management and shape the future of the network.
