Great Britain’s electricity infrastructure is undergoing a major transformation to deliver a cleaner, greener future. Within Infrastructure Delivery (ID), you’ll join a team managing large-scale construction projects, supported by a central Programme Management Office (PMO). As Governance and Assurance Lead, you will report to the Head of Governance and Assurance and oversee portfolio-wide governance reporting. You’ll play a key role in ensuring that projects meet BP500 gated requirements, support assurance activities, and work across the business to strengthen governance practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead governance frameworks, processes, and reporting across Infrastructure Delivery.
  • Manage the end-to-end BP500 gated process and support successful approvals.
  • Provide portfolio assurance, including gate reviews, audits, and risk assessments.
  • Act as secretariat for governance forums, ensuring clear records and follow-up actions.
  • Support business case development and regulatory submissions.
  • Maintain accurate, reliable governance data for reporting and assurance.
  • Drive continuous improvement, embedding lessons learned and addressing risks.
  • Coordinate assurance activities to provide a clear view of performance and risk.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including audit teams, to support compliance.

This role is based in Warwick 1–2 days per week, with hybrid working available.
