As a Finance Business Partner within the Field Operations Finance Business Partnering team, you will work at the heart of the business—partnering closely with operational leaders to provide insight, challenge, and support. You will help shape decision making across the Electricity Distribution Network, supporting the delivery of both the capital investment programme and the repair and maintenance agenda. This role plays a key part in driving operational performance across NGED by embedding meaningful performance indicators that support the delivery of strong regulatory and financial outcomes.
This is a 12 Month Fixed-Term role based out of our Warwick office, and we hope to see you at least two days per week but you are welcome to be in the office more often if that would work best for you. What You Will Do:- Partner with Field Operations leadership, Finance Business Partners, and Investment Accountants to drive performance and insight across operations and the capital programme.
- Deliver accurate, consistent monthly performance reporting and provide clear, data driven insight to support decision making.
- Lead the development of future finance and performance reporting, contributing to a next generation reporting environment.
- Apply strong financial rigour to investment decisions, business cases, and project evaluations, including regulatory (RIIO) impacts.
- Support strategic and transformation projects through financial analysis, risk assessment, and opportunity tracking.
- Embed a strong financial performance culture by improving processes, capability, and finance understanding across Field Operations.
- Translate complex financial and operational information into clear, impactful insights for non-financial stakeholders.
- Champion continuous improvement, simplifying complexity into actionable outcomes.
- Qualified or near Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) with strong knowledge of accounting concepts.
- Proven track record of Finance Business Partnering, ideally within a similar industry.
- Extensive experience overseeing the financial position of a business unit, working with director level to set strategy and deliver against a medium-term plan.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel and MS Office.
- Knowledge of general ledger and supporting systems, purchase ledger, sales ledger and time recording systems.
- Experience of dashboard reporting and Hyperion Planning applications.
- Full clean driving licence and a willingness to travel.
- Proven ability to adapt style of financial information presentation to suit a range of stakeholders, both financial and non-financial.
- Strong planning, forecasting and budgeting experience.

What You Will Get:- Up to £57,000- dependent on capability.
- As well as your base salary you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
